Programs

Primary

The primary curriculum is designed with the understanding that children learn best through real-life activities that support independence, concrete experiences that engage the senses, and open-ended exploration.  This leads to the refinement of their movements, sensory perceptions, language and intellect development. Children thrive through opportunities to follow their own interests and freely choose their own scaffolded activities.  Through guided exploration they develop independence, concentration and curiosity.

Montessori materials for the primary age are designed to support self-directed discovery and learning. They are organized around Practical Life activities that develop both independence and concentration; Sensorial activities that refine and develop the child’s senses; the development of Spoken Language, Writing and Reading skills; and Mathematical activities that develop fundamental mathematical concepts; and Cultural activities that include geography, history, biology, science, music, and the arts.

Summer Program

Summer Camp

Summer Camp will be held from June 17- August 9th, 2024

The Lotus Montessori Academy Summer Program will be held on the school campus.  Our day program is for preschool and elementary school children. Campers do not have to attend Lotus Montessori Academy during the regular school year in order to participate in our summer program.  You have the option of attending for one session or the whole summer!

We will ensure your child has fun while learning and following current safety protocols.

Children participate in a variety of activities each day.  The activities can be camp wide, personally selected activities, and small group activities.  Some may be indoors or outdoors.  Lotus Montessori Academy has extended morning and afternoon care for an extra fee. Parents and guardians need to pick up their child early or drop off late and need to communicate the time they will pick up their child or drop them off to the staff via Remind or email prior to that day.

Parents and guardians should make every effort to arrive at camp by 8:00 every day. If  a child arrives late on a field trip day and the group has left the building, the child will not be able to attend camp that day.

Summer tuition at Lotus Montessori Academy (the “School”) is $225 per week for children attending half-day, $350 for children attending full-day. Before Care and AfterCare are $15 an hour with 24 hour notice required.

Families who apply for admission and are offered enrollment may choose to wait to start school until they receive approval for financial aid. We will hold a space for a maximum of two weeks. Lotus Montessori Academy does not discriminate against an applicant with regard to race, religion, color, or national origin. Any family may apply for need-based financial aid.
